This is why I don’t care about what’s going on in Iran: it doesn’t matter if Ahmadinejad or Mousavi wins, because the mullahs are still in control.
Let’s see some mullahs swinging from lampposts. That will be real revolution.

Is the unrest in Iran right now really going to be quelled because Mousavi falls in line? Seems like a lot of Iranians are objecting to the ayatollahs, not the fact that Mousavi was robbed.

Maybe Khamenei tells Mousavi that he won the vote, but he lost the election, so shut up!

I’m beginning to think this is the real deal -and that’s scary for the Iranians in the streets.
Godspeed to all those who fight for freedom..

Maybe they’re thinking of exiling him to Paris. Of course, that didn’t work out so well 30 years ago...

I believe it was Michael Ledeen who said on an interview, that Mousavi has only two options left to him now,
Get enough people behind him to pull this off.....
or die.

Is it going to be like Surivor? “I’m sorry, Mir, the tribe has spoken”
Is it like the Garden of Eden? Will there be some angel with a flaming sword east of Tehran?

Looks like Khamenei wants to cool this down and Mousavi realizes that he's in the position of the man holding the tiger's ears -- whatever you do, don't let go.
Mousavi CAN'T make nice at this point. It's gone too far. There's too much bad blood regarding the Basijis. The pro-Ahmadinejad faction among the mullahs is scared.
If this quiets down, the rebel leadership will be quietly "disappeared" at leisure.

Me too, but that is the main hope for me. The young folks have got to be getting sick of the mullahs.

The mullahs and the Revolutionary Guard run Iran for their own profit. They don't want to give up the sweet deal they have. But the people are getting fed up over being poor so that the ruling elite can stay rich, and it's past the boiling point -- something for us to study, with the way DC has been pissing away our wealth and future.
