EDITORIAL: Walpin-gate's 'egregious stuff'...(White House's ace is actually a joker)
The Wash Times ^ | Wednesday, June 17, 2009 | EDITORIAL

There's still no cause for Obama's firing of an IG. Now it appears that the White House's ace in the hole is actually a joker. News organizations have tied the dismissal of Inspector General Gerald Walpin to a flap over Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson's misuse of AmeriCorps funds. The acting U.S. attorney in Sacramento, Lawrence G. Brown, filed a complaint against Mr. Walpin involving that same investigation. The White House seems to think the U.S. attorney's complaint makes Mr. Walpin look bad and thus excuses the firing.

One major problem: the U.S. attorney's complaint has more holes in it than a 10-year-old sock.

The complaint claims that the inspector general repeatedly failed to cooperate with the U.S. Attorney's office and improperly used press releases to try the case against Mayor Johnson through the media. Mr. Johnson is a political ally of Mr. Obama's and reportedly a personal friend of first lady Michelle Obama. In an 18-page response co-signed by five members of the inspector-general staff, Mr. Walpin made mincemeat of Mr. Brown's complaint.

Consider one of Mr. Brown's examples of Mr. Walpin's supposed lack of professionalism, which is hardly the most substantive of grievances. "Not only was it extremely questionable for Mr. Walpin to issue a press release," the acting U.S. attorney wrote about a Sept. 25, 2008, release, "it contained statements such as: 'If we find really egregious stuff and we want to stop the bleeding, we seek immediate suspension.' "

Mr. Walpin's press release did not use the words "egregious" and "stuff" or the phrase "stop the bleeding." That grievance was entirely contrived.

The U.S. Attorney's Office claims it only learned of developments in the investigation through news articles inspired by the inspector general. That's odd.

We need to really drive this one home. This firing is an illegal, unethical and corrupt act and the American people need to see it for what it is. I’m not saying Obama will be made to pay any immediate political price...he won’t. But this will help to open some people ‘s eyes and we’ve got a country with 54% of it’s people walking areound with their eyes closed while the country is being destroyed from within.

This is all about Michelle O and the amateur hour that is the Obama White House. Just like Hillary and the Travel Office, Michelle thinks she is royalty, and her subjects should bow at her feet.

This one is not going away however, because Grassely (R) from Iowa and now McCaskill (D) from Missouri are teaming up to call Barry and Michelle’s bluff. Even the MSM will not be able to cover for such a bunch of crap the Messiah is trying to pull.

Well, sportsfans... Photobucket Watergate took better that two years to percolate and finally come to fruition and that was with the MSM in agreement.

With them now being state sponsored, this odds of anything happening... Photobucket are zilch!

Time to storm the battlements, folks. Contact your representatives, raise hell and make them investigate this from one end to the other.

The acting U.S. attorney in Sacramento, Lawrence G. Brown, filed a complaint against Mr. Walpin involving that same investigation?

Well, well, well. Guess what else US Attorney Brown is investigating? From FBI Probes Obstruction of Justice Claim by Former St. Hope Official.

....................However, Rick Maya, who officially left his position as executive director with St. HOPE last week, alleged in an April resignation letter that a member of the charter schools' board deleted Johnson's e-mails during the federal investigation. Those claims, uncovered by a public records request by The Bee, caught the interest of Brown's office, who asked the FBI's Sacramento division to look into it

"The FBI has, in fact, opened an investigation of the circumstances surrounding the alleged destruction of e-mails, and is working with criminal prosecutors in this office," Brown said in a statement to The Bee. "Beyond confirming the existence of an investigation, we are not at liberty to discuss the details of the investigation.".............

....................Maya alleged in his resignation letter that on Aug. 22, while the academy was under federal subpoena in the AmeriCorps investigation, he notified the charter schools' board that board member Sam Oki had accessed St. HOPE's e-mail system and deleted some of Johnson's e-mails. Maya wrote that Oki acted at the request of an unnamed St. HOPE Academy board member.

Maya discovered the breach, he wrote, when his own e-mails also were deleted.

Me too. They just think Obama’s the cat’s pajamas and I’m a bitter republican and sore loser. Two of my buddies voted for Bush and are pretty apolitical but they’re enamored of 0. Go figure.

My thoughts too. When will the impeachment happen?
