Actually as one who has traveled both working class and academic circles I find that an argument can be made for the value of natural intelligence over that simply derived from education. I don't know that I would say the smartest people I have meet have been high school dropouts, but many including my grandfather have been the most sensible and successful people that I have known.

Sensibility is a commodity oft overlook now days especially among those who like to claim educational and intellectual superiority.

Perhaps. But you beg the question: How do you quantify sensibility? Academic success and intellectual accomplishments are easily identified and understood. Sensibility like you attribute to your grandfather is much less so. As a matter of fact, without intimately knowing someone, I’d say it would be impossible to gauge. Even knowing someone, it’s extremely subjective and IMHO unreliable.
