There is a huge difference between making a comment and "interference."

President Bush already HAS made comments.........multiple times...........in support of the Iranian freedom fighters within the country.

A comment now from President Obama supporting their desire for freedom would be VERY appropriate.....very American, in fact.

Of course, Obama will not do so for at least three reasons: 1. He is not an American 2. He supports the oppressors. 3. He is a coward.

Obviously, but perception is not always the same thing as reality. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would love to turn this into and Iran vs the US fight. It takes the pressure off of him. He will try to portray anything done by the US as support for the opposition, and a reason to come down hard of the students and others who want this revolution to happen.

I don’t understand why you think it is so important for Obama to say something. How can it possibly help this situation? If you just see everything that Obama does as wrong, that is fine, but I am curious about what you see as the positives of an Obama statement.
