I fear this is just the tip of the iceberg once the stimulus kicks into high gear and the government starts spending money on Murtha-like projects like a sailor on liberty. The corruptocrats, of course, posture themselves as the benevolent lords of their manors, even though its your and my money building these monuments to wastefulness.

You are so right. I remember hearing about some high speed, luxury train that Reid added as his Porkulus contribution. Supposedly it will run from Orlando to Las Vegas. Now just why do we need that, when no one will be able to afford to go to either place with their families anymore with the economy the way it is and our increased taxes? But, I only heard (read) about it once, so I don't know if it is still included. Just the same, Reid proposed this and it is something so totally unnecessary.

Don't get me wrong, I do think the railroads need to be expanded and improved. But not this way and not for this ridiculous route.
