New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, a Republican,

I thought the NY assembly was now under Republican control after those 2 dems switched the other day.

The switch hasn’t become formalized yet (apparently). The Assembly page shows still the R as minority leader.

No, it is the NY State Senate where the switch has taken place. The Dems became the majority in the State Senate this year, after many years in the minority there. Then, last week, the two Democratic State Senators said they would vote in the Republican caucus, giving the State Senate back to the Republicans.

The NY State Assembly has always been under the control of the Democrats, as far as I can remember.

A technical lead for the Pubs, Dems still run the chaos. Still, this call for resignation or firing is a good thing in the cultural war. It usually is a Pub or conserv who is asked to fall on their swords.
