"Now he continues to ridicule Bush, Cheney,and..."

No kidding! Wifie and I happened to stumble upon his monologue a couple weeks ago, and it was nearly unwatchable, he was still cracking angry jokes about Bush and Cheney, and they weren't even close to funny. Isn't this guy smart enough to realize he's losing at least half of his potential audience?

My e-mail to CBS this morning:

After being with Dave since show 1, I can no longer watch. I tolerated Great Moments in Presidential Speeches for Years looking for it to continue with duh, uh and 57 states, Obama, but no dice.

His rants on Global Warming and Iraq were proved wrong when he engaged OReilly and couldn't respond to challenges in his position.

Now I see he intends to blast Palin's family and refer to Palin as a slut. He is way over the line. There is something wrong in his constant need to use his show as a bully pulpit and to insult.

I can no longer watch. Give him a political talking head show to fit his ego and give us a new host to bring entertainment back to the show.

Good-bye Dave.

“...he was still cracking angry jokes about Bush and Cheney, and they weren’t even close to funny...”

Stewart and Colbert are no moderates neither and are crude and obnoxious, but at least they are funny, at least half of the time. On a very few occasions I stumbled on Letterman by clicking the remote control, he was not funny. Jay Leno is funnier, the soup guy Joel McHale is funnier, Conan is funnier, Jimmy Kimmel is funnier. Letterman is a loser.
