FreeRepublic pulls thread from December praising James von Brunn
What crime?
I seriously wonder if there are people out there confusing (deliberately?) Stormfront and Free Republic. There IS a thread from 2004 on Stormfront praising Van Brunn.
Watching either CNN or MSNBC (looking for their take on the Letterman issue) I heard them mention Free Republic.com a few times while talking about this shooter. What gives?

Probably not a good move to pull such a thread. Folks will assume it was Freepers agreeing with and amplifying von Brunn's rascist and anti-Semitic views. Otherwise, why pull it?
A look in the cache shows it was actually a post to a Norwegian discussion forum, in which someone signing himself as James W. von Brunn points out our egregious lack of knowledge about Obama's background. There is nothing in it that would tie back to the themes of von Brunn's vile website.
Freeper wannabegeek started a thread to discuss von Brunn's article. What follows is a totally normal FR thread with comments like "It irked me how the left was snickering about McCain being 894th in his class of 899, but 0bambi never released his records for scrutiny."
What's the harm in discussing the time of day when a stopped clock happens to get it right?
Now they are saying that MSNBC is ‘reporting’ that the shooter was a member of FR...LOL. It’s in an update at the kook site. Even if it is true, what’s the big deal? Any idiot can join FR...look at all the DU and KOS trolls we have around here...LOL!!
