Reminded me a little of Libertarian Party types: people convinced they were a whole lot smarter and more capable than they appeared be (to me anyway) whose lack of worldly success was a result of (pick one or more) the looters, the idiots, the jocks, the pretty, etc. discriminating against the intelligent. Oh, and they were usually physically unfit and unattractive, but very anxious to get laid by someone perceptibly more attractive and fit than they. LOL, I can't disagree with any of the above, but would only add that it adequately describes most liberals I've met. It's probably been 12 years or so since we've attended any meetings, and it was in a very urban area.
...it adequately describes most liberals I've met... I'm old enough that when I was in the dating business most of the 'babes' were big antiwar/hippie/reflexive lefties. Attractive, cool, popular were not adjectives often associated with conservative girls in the 1960s in California.
