Sorry folks. I agree with Savage. I don’t dislike like Palin, but I don’t think she could win. If she’s the nominee, we get Buttcrack all over again.

We need a tough, bad ass, conservative, no nonsense Reagan (or Thatcher)-like person. I couldn’t care less if male or female. So far, I don’t see Palin fitting that bill. I know she fits some of those qualities...I just don’t see her being that strong. In my opinion, that person has not emerged yet. We’d better find them tho......

Savage is passionate and sometimes comes unhinged...but he’s not stupid as some say.

Re Savage - I agree w/ many here. The guy is really bizarre sometimes, and we must parse his rants carefully. I often find him entertaining, but only sometimes agree with him. For those who can't stand the guy I can certainly understand that.

Re Palin - I just do not know. I read elsewhere that the media has effectively "Dan Quailed" her. Some suggest that although the treatment has been unfair, she is unlikely to recover from it sufficiently to win. This may be true, and I think many have reservations not because of how good she is, but how viable a candidate she is.

Other things also cause me to wonder. I read an email exchange she had w/ a campaign advisor. It involved the media trying to push hubby's possibly damaging (but not to me) political affiliations. She wanted to fight the issue w/ errant statements, and her factual fast-and-loose would have been easily found out by the media. IMO she was slow to accept good advice, and quick to play loose w/ facts that would have blown up on her.

I admire her and agree w/ her positions on many important issues. And although I wonder what she could have done with her own team rather than one picked by milk toast McLame, I still have reservations. Time will tell.

Hold on now, didn’t many of her campaign advisors try to sabotage her during and after the campaign? I can’t see why we’d make our final decision on Palin based on interactions she had with the idiots McCain placed around her.

A few unguarded moments during a doomed campaign should not make or break Sarah as a potential candidate.
