Bejeesus, hydraulic fracturing has been around since the 1930’s at least. Some frac jobs use sand to prop open the fissures so the oil and gas can leave the formation and migrate to the well bore. Properly set surface casing, which is cemented well below groundwater depths, insures against contamination. These people are lunatics.

Easily enough verified with a pressure test, and a CBL, if needed. If all is in order, there is no threat to groundwater. Yep. Government run amok.
