Does he realize that the French did not participate in the D-Day Invasion? De Gaulle wouldn’t even get on the radio and tell the French to cooperate. Ike didn’t even trust him to know about Operation Overlord until the day before.

After the war, I think that Churchill described the meetings they had with De Gaulle over the military campaign. Churchill said that when De Gaulle walked into the room, he reminded him of a llama in heat.

I thought a free French unit went ashore on one of the British beaches, along with the Poles. I may be mistaken. In any event, the French underground did what they could that day.

About the only thing French that I like are french fries...and those are Belgian.
