Wouldn't hurt to get kids this age into some oriental martial arts, Krav Maga, or just a little something that gives them an edge for a split second.

Bullies don't seem to like it AT ALL if they suddenly have to take a little of what they are dishing out.

These aren’t bullies, they’re groups of kids who are “gangs” in the loose sense of a group of kids acting as a group, but not the pure bloods/crips gangs. The popular culture has created a glorified “gangsta” mythology, so the kids all think they’re tough guys and want to look like rap stars. As long as they look up to creeps like 50 Cent, DMX, TI and the other rappers, this is only going to get worse.
