I’ve known several people who attend, and have been encouraged to try it out, but never did. Draws a somewhat younger crowd, very devout, many singles, many fairly educated. Does not discourage people who might appear somewhat unusual to other, more staid congregations. All are welcome who genuinely believe. Charismatic evangelical.
My friend from Wichita just told me that a trial recently ended, and Tiller was acquitted. Might have stirred people up. She said that Roeder comes from Marion, KS, which has a large population of Mennonites. She nor I have any idea if he is or is not of that persuasion.
