Calm down. Declaring that “we are no longer a nation under the rule of law” is ridiculous. We have plenty of leaders who are violating the laws but if anyone can simply stand up, declare that the rule of law has ended and use that to justify taking matters into his own hands—which is what you just now did—then you have justified pure anarchy. No, at present most people are not taking matters into their own hands and so you can make such foolish statements without suffering the consequences that true widespread anarchy would bring—immense suffering for everyone.
But as a statement, what you wrote justifies pure anarchy.
Be careful what you ask for. You might get it.
“Calm down.”
I am calm, just because you don’t agree is not cause to accuse me of hysterics. Is your argument that weak?
“Declaring that we are no longer a nation under the rule of law is ridiculous. “
Really? Then why do our govt officials ignore the law? Why does the average person only have rights IF they have $$ and a good lawyer?
Anarchy does bring suffering for everyone. Look at our economy. Just because people haven’t resorted to wholesale bloodshed does not mean we are not in a state of anarchy.
