What’s the big deal?
With all the big government policies being pushed by Obama, some here want to criticize him for a date night with his wife?
Obama paid for the dinner and show. I know that’s peanuts compared to the total cost for the trip, but the plane, security, and motorcade go with the office. Had Bush done this, everyone here would be praising him for setting a great example by keeping a promise to his wife.
Next to keeping the promise he made to the kids and getting a dog, this is the best thing Obama has done as President.
Carbon footprint for the date? Offsets paid?
I agree with you that Republicans look petty criticizing Obama for his taxpayer-funded night in the Big Apple. The media should be doing this. And God only knows they would be if this were a Republican president. Have you forgotten how Nancy Reagan was crucified by the media for replacing the White House china during economic hard times? And she did that at no expense to the taxpayers.
It’s the double standard that makes this so infuriating. And for those of us in the Detroit area, seeing them chauffeured in a Cadillac on the eve of GM’s bankruptcy is just too much to bear.
well of course that’s why he didn’t do it, but my point was, the PROOF that he didn’t do it was because we would have HEARD IT SCREAMED about by the media.
She wasn’t without her usual cheap looking, half-sleeve flimsy sweater though. I guess a proper evening wrap would be out of the question.
The problem with the Duh-Bama’s using taxpayer money for a date night is that duh-bama’s policies have turned a mild recession into a recession bordering on depression.
PLUS, he was just in Las Vegas and California a few days ago.
PLUS, we (the taxpayers) paid for a “date night” for the brown clown’s on Feb. 14th.
I’m struggling to pay my bills and taxes and they spend HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of taxpayers hard-earned money on a freaking DATE???????????????????????
Wow... what a picture, if that was a “first date” there will not be a second one.
Did GW take Laura on a "date night" to NYC for dinner drinks mand a show on slavery?
Bet some of them were rounded up by the Rangel types to make sure there were a lot of people. Someone should have looked around for buses or they paid their subway fare.
There were people but the streets were not close to be packed and there are $8M people in NYC.
Yah, I don’t think Bama wants to be reminded of one of the more colorful “quirks” of his favorite religion.
Beheadings were left behind a couple centuries ago in the West, and even then they served as “tools” of in flagrante delicto Revolution.(see France 1789) Of course, fundi Islamic Jihad is ALWAYS in a state of tumescence about their “Revolution”.
When asked how many hungry children could have been fed with the tens of thousands of dollars it costs to see this play, Michelle Obama said “Let them eat cake.”
