“Has anyone else noticed that even the smallest infractions (like this was even an infraction) are being punished with being arrested now. It used to be when I was a kid, cops lectured people on certain things.”

It sounds like he was arrested for being a knucklehead.

I think citizens and police officers don’t understand each other anymore. There is a communication disconnect. “Back in the day,” for the most part, the officer would’ve talked him off the mower, said he understood his beef, told him to quit shredding up the trash and everything would’ve been cool. No more.
