Exclusive: GITMO Uyghurs Are Jihadis
Family Security Matters ^ | 5/26/2009 | Clare M. Lopez

Posted on 05/26/2009 4:14:43 AM PDT by tobyhill

With all the recent attention focused on where and how to release Guantanamo Bay detainees, the case of 17 imprisoned Uyghurs has grabbed headlines again. Massachusetts Democratic Congressmen Jim McGovern and Bill Delahunt think that at least some of these Uyghurs should be resettled right here in the United States (U.S.), maybe even in the Virginia suburbs. Speaking in late May 2009 at a world assembly of Uyghurs at the U.S. Capitol, Delahunt offered some reassuring words: “The Uyghur people are not enemies of America. In fact, I know you admire our fundamental ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness….” How quaint. And how dangerously wrong.

The Uyghurs held at GITMO were captured while fleeing a terror training camp in eastern Afghanistan that was run by the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), a splinter faction of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM). ETIM is listed as a terrorist organization by the governments of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and the U.S., as well as the United Nations.

I suggest McGovern and Delahunt give them jobs in their offices and personally vouch for them.

If its such a great idea and all, I mean.....

Uiygur nationhood is their primary aim. Gotta look at the specifics of these individuals, and not leap to a conclusion too soon.

Why would two dipsticks from Massachusetts encourage anyone to turn loose the Uyghurs in Virginia.

Whats wrong with Massachusetts. Turn them loose up near the Kennedy Compound, the Kennedy’s love minorities.

I just love these a*sjats. Just beautiful.

They claim that Gitmo is THE recruiting tool for terrorists, forgetting that there was no Gitmo in 1993 (first WTC attack). They also ignore the fact that there was no Gitmo on 9/11/01.

But they ignore the fact that 3 of the six people picked up this week for terrorism were, in fact, RADICALIZED via Islam in U.S. prisons. They were relatively normal, garden variety criminals before then!

Now we have people who think it’s just dandy to install the dirtbags at Gitmo in U.S. prisons. Why? So now we furnish these characters with a “celebrity” jihadist?

WTF?

“The Uyghur people are not enemies of America. In fact, I know you admire our fundamental ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness….”

Ok idiot. As long as you realize that their pursuit of happiness involves watching you flop around on the floor with your head separated from your spinal column.

Just don't want you to jump into this without knowing the facts. But if you and your family are ok with that, then by all means proceed.

It's amazing that Obama claims they are dangerous yet they are list as a terrorist group, even in the US.

"Now we have people who think it’s just dandy to install the dirtbags at Gitmo in U.S. prisons."

That won't happen right away. First, Zero and the dims will have to tear down all our prisons and rebuild them so the toilets don't face mecca, and install foot baths.

After, all, those are the kind of inconsiderate things we do that create all these terrorists in the first place.

If the weejers are not “enemies of America” then why were they planning to attack the Olympics in China?

Does Mr Delahunt have jobs and apartments for these peaceful yoots in his district?

yes, you must certainly should “look at the specifics”.

they are Sunni Muslim Salafists who were training to carry out al Qaeda terrorism and jihad in Western China.

our government had been planning to “quietly” (i.e., secretly) release these 17 jihadis into the family neighborhoods of fairfax, virginia.

jow are those “specifics?”

Yes, those are specifics. Are they enough to form a judgment? Probably not. We should not be adversely disposed to having this nation be free from China. Same for Tibet.

Great. Send them back to Uiygurville to continue their fight.

I think the U.S. does not repatriate people to their homeland, when it is believed they will be killed without a fair trial.

Sometimes you DO need to leap to conclusions right upfront.

These people seem like typical Islamic terrorists; just like all of the others.
We need to keep our nation safe. All cultures and idea are not alike. Some just want to kill us and destroy our culture and nation.
Keep them the heck out of the US.
Have we lost our freaking minds????

No. I am not saying allow them here. But neither am I saying to exclude them, without looking at them individually. So, I guess I am lobbying against trying making a judgment without specifics.

I know that, as member of FR, we would like on every issue to be able to reach a credible judgment based on whatever is published and available to us personally. But this may not be such a case. We should relax a little, plead ignorance (hard for me, assume it’s hard for you also), and withhold judgment.
