Everyone should read “The Road to Serfdom” by F.A. Hayek including everyone on this forum. It is the one or two indispensible primers for conservatives. It was written in 1944 but reads like it was written yesterday. There’s even a part about charismatic leaders who lead the citizenry down the primrose path.
