"If Bush didn't defend himself while in office, why would he start now?"President Bush was busy protecting us from futher terrorist attacks. If he had been out there trying to defend himself it would have become a full time thing and then he would have lost the fight for our safety.

'0' cannot stand Cheney speaking up.
That's exactly right. He doesn't like _anyone_ speaking out against _anything_ he says, but he _especially_ can't stand it when Cheney demolishes, and basically dismisses as childish, everything he has to say.
