Pres. Bush is doing the absolute right thing by keeping quiet. There may come a point where he can start speaking up, but he's mature and smart enough to know that at this point he should just stay in the background.

Funny, but people said the same thing about Cheney speaking up. This is beyond partisan politics. It is about our national security. Bush, as a citizen, has an obligation to speak up. Obama has attacked and blamed Bush from the day he took office. Sitting in silence not responding to this slander just acts as tacit approval that the charges are true.

No, he doesn't. He has to carefully consider what is best for our country and our national security. In his specific case, the best interests of our country are served by him laying low.

Obama has attacked and blamed Bush from the day he took office. Sitting in silence not responding to this slander just acts as tacit approval that the charges are true.

This attacking and blaming is making Obama look like the lightweight that he is. Only the immature feel the need respond to every criticism directed at them. Democrats are hoping and praying that Pres. Bush responds so that they can make him the center of attention instead of Obama.
