A.Were you already born when he was there? Did he defer college to go and volunteer or was he drafted?

A. My dad was career Army. Joined in 1953 to get off the farm and found out he liked it.

B. I moved 12 times growing up. I did not want to do that as an adult.

Military deferment is ok, sending troops into battle is also ok.

It is just that I have a serious problem with the combination of someone who had 5 miltary deferments that later send troops into battle and then a poster says God gave them a double helping of ba**s.
