i’m a nj republican....??? whats the problem
you guys need to trust us real conservatives who happen to live in the northeast...i know a lot of us suck in this area
but here in nj there is a real conservative called steve longean running against an establishment republican and i pray to god Steve can beat him
and rudy guiliani would have done better than mccain in the election thats a guarantee ...even though he was wrong on abortion and gun rights he was going to appoint conservative judges...thus nullifying that issue
but i’m really annoyed by the bias that we northeastern conservatives get on here ...you guys do realize the founding fathers mainly came from the northeast...we get enough crap from the horrible liberalism we have to deal with be a little nicer to us
I know there are true Conservatives in the Northeast. But, too damn few of them.
I was raised in New Mexico. We toted guns around as teens. I later lived in Arizona, Utah, Texas, Alaska, and now South Carolina.
My uncle came to visit in NM about 20 years ago.
Understand, my uncle was raised in NM and after college, went on to serve the FBI until he retired. He was mostly working for the FBI in VA, NJ, and DC during his carreer.
When he came to NM to visit, we took him out to shoot. He was freaking that we had TEC-9’s and SKS’s and Mini-30’s. (He had been in the NE too long)
He had a blast shooting all the various rifles and pistols.
He had a mindset from living in NJ and DC.
While in Alaska, it was common to see folks walking on the highways with pistols on their hips, and carrying a rifle.
I loved living in Alaska.
FRiend, the northeast's reputation is not unjustified. Who was the last true conservative to be elected to a position of significant influence in that region?
Name five more.
Sure, true conservatives like you can be found up there, but the bulk of the northeastern GOP is squishy enough to guarantee liberal dominance.
P.S. Your point about the founders is a non sequitur. You can't support your assertion about the current condition of the northeast by citing examples more than two centuries old.
