The speaker of the House had just read a statement accusing the CIA of lying and was trying to beat a hasty retreat from her news conference before reporters could point out contradictions between her current position and her previous statements.
"Thank you!" an aide called out to signal an end to the session. Pelosi walked, sideways, away from the lectern and, still sidling in a sort of crab walk, was halfway to the door when a yell from CNN's Dana Bash, rising above the rest of the shouting, froze her in the aisle.
"Madam Speaker!" the correspondent called out. "I think there's one other question that I would like to ask, if that's okay."
"Sure, okay," Pelosi said, in a way that indicated it was not okay. Pelosi had no choice but to sidle back to the lectern.

It would be better if an R demanded she stepped down. That way when she does, some might notice the R party still exists.
For that reason, they will probably have a D do it, so they can claim that they are serious about cleaning out corruption... try to paint it as cleaning house.

In a way I hope she does. She is such an embarrassment to the Dems. Let her be the face of the party. I hope they go forward with their show trial over EIT's too. Most Americans have not forgotten 911 and we were all in favor of these methods at the time. The Dems will be exposed as the total hypocrites they are if they go through with this.
How does that work, exactly? Because I don't think she's going voluntarily.
Devastating. She's done. It's only a matter of time. It's way too late to drop the "torture" theme and she's sitting square in the bullseye. You have to wonder who's sitting there with her that we don't know about yet, because the pertinent memo is still sitting there waiting to be leaked. I'm guessing a lot of people in DC are wondering that very thing right about now.
