Lieberman 'totally disagrees' with Pelosi (that the CIA regularly misleads Congress)
The Hill ^ | May 14, 2009 | Eric Zimmermann

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) said today that he "totally disagrees" with Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) assertion that the CIA regularly misleads Congress.

"No, on that specific point I totally disagree," Lieberman told MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell. "Over the 20 years I've been here, I've been briefed constantly by the CIA, and I'd say they've told me the truth as they see it."

It’s an obvious lie Joe.

It’s an obvious lie.

It’s so obvious that even acknowledging it is a waste of time.

There is no place for a lie in a free nation.

In America, there is no KGB culture.

Can't agree.Having even a *single* Senate RAT calling her out is worthwhile.

A complete meltdown in the democrat party is just what the doctor ordered, and not a moment too soon.

It’s hard to muster much sympathy for the CIA. They constantly undermined Bush administration in the apparent belief that a Democratic administration would be better. Well now they got what they wished for.

The CIA probably knows who in Congress is even more untrustworthy than the typical.

"Those briefing me gave me inaccurate and incomplete information," Pelosi said. "At the same time, the Bush administration was misleading the American people about the threat of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq." She added: "They mislead us all the time."

She is one dumb liar. The CIA lies to her so she's not culpable. The CIA tells the same lies (by her account) to Bush but he is lying when he repeats it.

Please keep poking the bear Nancy.

The jaws won’t come with violence but I suspect they’ll come with airtight proof of serious criminal misdeeds.

There is nothing wrong with that statement. Joe is just recognizing that the CIA doesn't necessarily have perfect information but he doesn't think they intentionally misinform.

Liar Pelosi’s strategy ...

(no link)

Pelosi Focuses on Personal Journey in Memoir
Los Angeles Times (LATWP News Service) (CA) - Tuesday, July 29, 2008
Author: Noam N. Levey

EXCERPT

“First, you must take down the ratings of your opposition,” Pelosi writes. “Second, you must differentiate yourselves from them. And third, only when the time is right do you present your platform.”

I think that the CIA did not do nearly enough -—

To prove that Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame were LIARS!

I think that the CIA was wrong when the CIA claimed, with no legal basis, that Plame was a “covert” agent, when Plame parked a car registered in HER name in a RESERVED space in a CIA parking lot, for YEARS!

(And, you can only be “outed” once, and Wilson probably outed Plame long before Armitage or anyone else did!)

So, yes, the CIA has made some mistakes.

But no, Nancy, we do not believe that the CIA “lied” to little old you!

Seven steps ...

Discredit your opponents, proclaim your perfection, gather disciples, march on (Fill in City), take over country, declare shoot-to-kill martial law, proceed to wipe out opponents.

In America, we are now at step five; and today’s multi- trillion-dollar government spending will soon take us to step six.

Nancy needs to make it personal with Leon Panetta. That could be fun.

Well, obviously Pelosi is at odds with Lieberman’s view of CIA reports. Now it’s up to her to prove her accusations. She should definitely be thoroughly grilled on the subject as the number one witness in a Congressional investigation. If the CIA is lying we need to get to the bottom of it. Put them all on the stand, bring out all the documents.
