"So you don't then believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible, every single word, every single verse?" The bible has a mosaic of meaning. As for what 'literal' meaning YOU glean from a single bible verse, I guess it reflects whats in your heart, doesn't it. It's highly improbable you even understand the meaning of the words you read in the bible even if it is english.

Language has "devolved" from the days the bible was written.

Just as you think when you read "God created man in his image", you think "Oh, God looks like us". You fail to read that from the time of sin, God gave man clothes of skin- our flesh. So no, God does not look like us.

We agree then more than you realize, it is why I, like many, many others, don’t see a conflict with science and the Bible.. A great man once said: Science teaches us how God created the world, the Bible tells us why.
