We can articulate our message just fine without the baggage that Cheney and Bush bring along.

What's the 'we' and 'our'? WE want Cheney, WE approve of Cheney, Cheney was 'our' great VP, Cheney is doing a great job of articulating and always has. Now you can go take your baggage and find the person who you think is "articulating this message just fine". You won't be back for a long time; so far, no one has heard from 'this person' that you speak of.
