This bozo makes Austin sound like the answer to everyone's prayers- what he doesn't mention is how inept and corrupt the local government is, how our infrastructure is crumbling as the city deficit spends yet uncollected tax dollars on frivolous "crown jewel" projects and how their "sanctuary city policy" is bankrupting our social services.

Austin is home for me and has been for over 30 years. Quality of life was definitely better in Austin prior to 1990. The unfortunate part is that the lunatics are in charge of the asylum which is unlikely to change.

Perhaps so but Austin is still probably better off than almost all the major cities in the United States.

Yep. I was born and raised in Austin and it definitely was better before being "discovered" by the national media and every other dot com in the country. Of course it catches flack for being so liberal and goofy, but it will always be home to me and I love it more than any place on the planet.
