'anti-Catholic' and 'anti-Pope' as well?
"The pope himself left abruptly
when the sheik finished..." Not "during" Tamimi's speech, as your statements and the misleading headline imply, but "after" the speech, which is easily proven by viewing EWTN's video of the event and many others. :-)

The event was not yet over at that point, the Pope abruptly walked out on Tamimi as soon as Benedict was told of the content of Tamimi's speech.
