My name is not Pete, boy.
18 For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled.
18 For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled. -posded by Pete to prove ???
Luke 18:31 : 31Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
I posted Jesus saying it will not be fulfilled until the end of the earth, and you posted Jesus saying it will be fulfilled in the future.
The end of the earth remains in the future.
The Ten Commandments still apply.
Just which English translation are you posting there, boy?
The Ten Commandments are not prophecies about the Son of Man, boy.
"We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled."...but reads it as...
"We are going up to Jerusalem, and everythingThey view Scripture like ice cream: easily melted.that is written by the prophets about the Son of Manwill be fulfilled."
***But what do you, the individual proscribed by Scripture to interpret it, how do YOU interpret it?
LOL, you’re spit is hitting our screens. I don’t need to interpret anything. ***
Well, on the face of it, you are interpreting everything that you read (mostly non Gospel) as only non Christians do.
***Why do you refuse to hear the Word of God, without someone interpreting for you. God gives us the Holy Spirit for that. ***
You the individual are proscribed from personal interpretation. 2 Pet 1:
20
12 Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation,
21
for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.
And that is backed up by Acts 26:
26
7 Then the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, “Get up and head south on the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza, the desert route.”
27
So he got up and set out. Now there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of the Candace, 8 that is, the queen of the Ethiopians, in charge of her entire treasury, who had come to Jerusalem to worship,
28
and was returning home. Seated in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Isaiah.
29
The Spirit said to Philip, “Go and join up with that chariot.”
30
9 Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
31
He replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” So he invited Philip to get in and sit with him.
You are reading your own thoughts, whims and desires into Scripture. You are proscribed. Leave that to the Church of Scripture, do not take what Scripture says is not for you onto yourself.

...the "so-called" Ten Commandments...
*The translation of each book was assigned to a team of scholars, and the work was thoroughly reviewed and revised at various stages by three separate committees. The Committee submitted the developing version to stylistic consultants who made invaluable suggestions. Samples of the translation were tested for clarity and ease ofreading by various groups of people. In short, perhaps no other translation has been made by a more thorough process of review and revision.
The Committee held to certain goals for the NIV: that it be an Accurate, Beautiful, Clear, and Dignified translation suitable for public and private reading, teaching, preaching, memorizing, and liturgical use. The translators were united in their commitment to the authority and infallibility of the Bible as God's Word in written form. They agreed that faithful communication of the meaning of the original writers demands frequent modifications in sentence structure (resulting in a "thought-for-thought" translation) and constant regard for the contextual meanings of words.

***...and may Paul pray for your eternal salvation.
He’s dead, Jim...***
That’s interesting. You have posted several times that Paul speaks to you and he is an old friend. Are you a necromancer speaking to dead men?
***God’s Word is my argument.***
You don’t post God’s Word. You post letters from a bishop to his flock. I have proved this to you.
***You may call me anything, but I posted the Word of God. You may choose to ignore it, or call Paul a liar. ***
Paul is not a liar. He wrote as a bishop to his flock. You are the liar.
***How could the prayers of Paul (dead guy) have any hope in my salvation. My salvation is derived from faith in the shed blood of Jesus, not membership in your deceitful organization. ***
Your posts indicate that you do not believe in Jesus; you believe in a weird alternative version of Christianity in which Jesus doesn’t count and some bizarre interpretation of Paul’s letters to his bishopric constitutes all of Christianity.
Your postings strongly indicate that you are not Christian.
***Deny the Ten Commandments, deny eternal life, but still pretend to be some kind of Christian cult.
Its like one of those tourist-trap roadside museums, or maybe Ripleys Believe It or Not.***
Perhaps it’s a shell game in which you guess at the shell which gives eternal life, rather than believe in Christ Jesus.
***So here’s a cultist who sees:
“We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.”
...but reads it as...
“We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.”
They view Scripture like ice cream: easily melted.***
When you create your own God in your own image and keep Him on the hall stand where you can rub His head for luck when you walk by, what do you expect?
You are the one with the challenge. You may belittle me all day long, call me all of your names, and ridicule my words. But, the Word of God stands, without any INTERPRETATION required. Make no mistake, Mark, God will not be mocked, even by a zealous Catholic like you.
God doesn't need your Pope to keep you straight. He doesn't need a priest in a funny hat. He has a Spirit, and has made it clear where He is... and what He expects.
Don't blame me, Mark. Blame Paul as the liar, or blame your church for lying to you.
Matthew 18: 15"If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. 16But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.' 17If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
18"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19"Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
21Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
They should have hired a group of skilled linguistic scholars who wanted an accurate, dignified translation.
What's next, the New TWITTER/texting International Version? The Archie Gang reenacts selections from Scripture? Blue Man Group presents GOSPEL!?
