This vessel has considerable firepower in the form of crew served automatic weapons mounted on the rails of the upper floors of the bridge superstructure. Both M-2 heavy machine guns and 40mm grenade launchers will ruin your day.
Either of these weapons can laydown enough suppressive fire to make these "pirates" abandon the attack and save their bullets for less hardened targets.

"Both M-2 heavy machine guns and 40mm grenade launchers will ruin your day. Are you sure this particular class of vessel has both .50cals and Mk19's? I've never been aboard a MSC cargo ship, so I certainly could be mistaken. But, I always thought that because of the limitations of "ships under arms" with respect to navigational routes and right-of-ways, that these ships were only minimally armed.

When the range of the weapons you and the pirates have is roughly the same, the smart move is to stay out of range, and requisition a 5” deck gun be installed for your next passage. :)
