Funny, when Thomas first started I thought he was a dumbed-down Scalia "me too" clone, the conservative house negro so to speak. He rarely wrote anything and just followed what Scalia said.
But MAN has he written some good decisions and dissents over the last several years, and I joyfully admit I was so wrong! He still has a few IMHO unconstitutional decisions, but for the most part he's the best judge on the court now. I wouldn't mind Scalia retiring if I knew we could get another Thomas in there.
