Bristol—and more importantly Bristol’s mom’s reaction to her daughter’s behavior—apparently represents some sort of secret, festering, testicular wound for some in the conservative movement. I was applauding long and loud when these two kids had the baby and announced they were getting married. That seemed the responsible, penitent, “conservative” thing to do. When they split, I kept thinking about Anne Coulter’s lament about single motherhood and its wasting effect on our culture. Apparently, we cannot only lament that reality if it doesn’t involve a good looking rising Republican star. I tried to turn my comments back to the Jeb Bush “listening tour,” but too many people were busy defending Bristol’s life path. Hence the direction of this thread.
Sure you did. That's why I kept seeing all those posts from you pleading with everyone to get back on topic.
If this thread got hi-jacked, you are in large part - responsible.
And I'm not here to defend Bristol's life path. That's her cross to bear. She made a mistake. All people do, and young teenagers more so. She's dealing with the consequences as best she can. Why don't we let her and turn our attention to more pressing matters.
Such as the topic of this thread and whether it is a good thing for Gov. Palin to be associated with this GOP re-branding initiative.
Personally, I think it's important for her to be a part of it. Otherwise the voices of the more conservative base will be drowned out by the RINO groups.
Who the heck annointed you a part of the Trinity? You have NO idea what the circumstances have been, and I’m disgusted by your slanderous “slut” comment.
Is this a “responsible, penitent, ‘conservative’ thing to do?”
