After talking to President Barack Obama on the phone today, Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch says he believes the White House will move swiftly on its Supreme Court nominee, perhaps making an announcement by the end of this week.
Obama made no timing commitments to the Utah Republican, but the senator who has been in the middle of several pitched Supreme Court battles, said: “I’d be surprised if it went beyond this week. … I would think by the end of this week or over the weekend, he’ll nominate somebody. I’m sure they’ve discussed this internally, back and forth for months now.”

for Pres. What a character.
Saw JFK once., Nixon a few times, Reagan many many times,
saw 41 and 43. Also saw Dole and Kemp several times when the convention was here and campaigning, also Newt, and many others.

I’m told I met JFK in May of 62. I don’t remember that trip at all.

Never got close to any presidents, though I saw “W” twice (from afar) when he was campaigning in 2004. Spotted Karl Rove with him at the second rally.

The TWO HOUR FINALE is 2 weeks from tonight(May 18th), also know as 2 days after the best day of the year, IMHO.
a possible CAVS/HAWKS game 7 is scheduled for that night. Me thinks I won’t have to worry about that.

‘62! It was in ‘62 that I saw JFK land in a helicopter on the WH lawn. I was a little kid and my mom told me that’s what we saw!
