I do not agree with the everyone must have healthcare crap, but as a resident of MA it's what one had to do. Your son chose not to, therefore, he paid the price for not conforming.
Um...
Did you actaully read what you just posted....
But is this the way we want to go?
Extra taxes for having firearms?
Extra taxes for not volunteering for national service?
Extra taxes for eating spare ribs?
Now that you bring that up as an example, RomneyCare is pure 100% unadulterated socialist/fascism forced upon the people at the point of a gun. Pay up or be taxed to death. The guy never met a big government socialist program he didn’t like.
And if you’re too poor or otherwise inconvenienced, don’t worry. The socialist government will rob from others to subsidize your premiums.
What’s that? You want a taxpayer funded abortion? Your child is inconvenient for you so you wish your fellow tax payers to murder him for you? No problem. Mr. Romney is your man!
Up yours, Romney!
Yes Commissar!
We will all conform! (brown shirts for everyone)
“Your son chose not to, therefore, he paid the price for not conforming.”
“so there is no excuse for your son not to have health care, it’s his own fault he got fined the $762. “
That is the problem. I don’t want to conform. I want to be FREE!
No excuse!?!?!? How about leave me alone. I don’t want insurance.
Your son had ample opportunity and ample warning about having health insurance in MA,

The point is he should NOT be penalized for not “following the program”. He should have a say in his healthcare, not the government telling him what to do.
I do have health insurance, and I should not be forced to. I do not go to doctors (if I can at all help it) and prefer alternative medicine.
I see much of western medicine and our view of doctors to be idolatry.
