We heard all the excuses for not voting for Hunter.
He doesn’t have name recognition. Neither did Palin 3 months prior to the election.
He isn’t “charismatic” enough. And John McCain was?
He isn’t an “attractive” choice. Uh, John McCain?
Representatives can’t win. Not with self fullfilling prophesies.
The man would have driven Zero into the ground in a straight debate. When others were whining about the ringers being sent to the CNN debate to ask questions, Hunter sent a letter to Hillary Clinton daring her to send more. Hunter didn’t beat around the bush when he called Harry Reid a treasonous coward and it left Reid speechless for once. Hunter certainly wouldn’t have run out to spray paint his name across the wildly unpopular bank bailout. Where other republicans live in fear of the media, Hunter walks up the steps and bangs on the door.
He was the true Reaganite candidate and the only one not claiming the mantel.
the rank and file nation wide primary voting republican did not know who Duncan Hunter was. (you know most people don’t watch the sunday shows...)
the man needed exposure he never got. He needed to make a name of himself and he didn’t. before the primaries, people said WHO?... now that the elections are over people still say WHO?...People knew who Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43 were.....
in the last election people knew who Romney, Giulinai, McCain, Huckabee and Thompson were (unfortunate that Thompson did NOT have fire in the belly). Most of these were liberal republicans, with the exeception of Thompson.... No One Knew Who Hunter was(well not enough people did).
Right now people know who Jindahl an Palin are. They are the ‘conservative’ future unless someone else steps up and gets some EXPOSURE.
I am still spitting nails over Hunter being thrown to the dogs. He was a true conservative and is. John McCain was dead last. I would like to know how he got the ticket when most would not have voted for him.
