Just had another quake. It was a hard shake here, but it was over very quickly. I felt it here because I'm close to the epicenter. There are at least two helicopters circling overhead but they wouldn't be up due to this small earthquake, not at this hour.

Thanks for the ping bd. Wow, there is a lot of activity out in the area of the old Northridge quake.

Paraphrasing Crocidile Dundee, "That ain't no earthquake. There was a small 4.2 quake south of Eureka yesterday."

Rosie O’Donnell must have moved in, and finally decided to take up jogging.

Rosie might have a hard problem “fitting in” in the Eureka area.

Polly, did you feel anything? My son and family live in Northridge.

It was a minor 3.8 and it happened just before 11AM as Communion was wrapping up at Church. It twas fitting as I was sponsoring a friend and his wife into our congregation and we had just sat down when it hit. I turned to him and shook my finger and said God was not pleased it took so long for him to get there.

The shaker was centered about 2 miles south of the Church but it was 14 miles deep...

Less than five is a non-event, barring any contextual signinficance.

Just my opinion, of course

Agree; after a small quake but before news of magnitude and epicenter are known, I always wonder if it was a lot worse elsewhere. My relatives up in San Luis Obispo, hours away from L.A. by car, felt our Northridge quake.

I was awake and at computer at 1:05 a.m. today — just about 5 miles from ‘epicenter’ in San Fernando Valley. Did not feel one thing - thank goodness!
