There’s no reason to believe this megalomaniac sees any need to moderate himself in any way. He can do whatever he wants. He could get Bernardine Dohrn on the court right now if he wanted to.
If you look at his first term cabinet appointments with moderates, corporate types and Republicans like LaHood at Transportation and Bob Gates at Defense predominating, you’ll see that there is political method to Obama’s first term madness. A possible second term is where the far leftists would come to the fore.
The first term political strategy is to divide and conquer the Republican Party by siphoning off moderates and RINOs (Specter)and to keep the politics reasonably close to the center of the spectrum in order to get reelected. Then as a lame duck, he would go for borke as a leftist.
