Very well put...thank you.
I think so. But we traded a Republican senator. (Joke)
LOL, even Brownback isn't party-line enough for you? Are you going to demand the Joseph Stalin test of party purity? Hint: it only works if you have the power to kill all your opponents and still remain in control.
LLS
OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!!!
Jon Kyl voted for David Ogden as Deputy Attorney General, a deeply disturbed and dangerous man. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the roll call vote, and Ogden isn’t even from Arizona. And the vote wasn’t even close.
Protocol trumps conscience? Give me a break!
Prepare to be flamed.
BTW, I agree with you.
And a vote against her would have accomplished nothing in this “war.”
LOL
I’m already feeling the heat. Pro-lifers are making GREAT strides in the realm of public opinion, but the pro-life battle isn’t going to be won by excommunicating any conservative or Republican who doesn’t have a 100% pure Pro-Life pedigree. As public opinion turns, I hope we’ll begin to see more pro-lifers elected at all levels of government. Going for the jugular of people like Brownback is so counter-productive and is one of the reasons our Conservative boat starts sinking again every time it gets a little above water. Sarah Palin is another great example. People here on FR, although most were her fans, began tearing her down for one reason or another. After a while, there will be no one left “pure” enough to lead our cause.
As much as I love FR, there are two things about some of the self-proclaimed “conservatives” here that annoy me:
(1) They completely miss Ronald Reagan’s vision of coalition building.
(2) They are so absolute in their views that one wonders if they are trying to convince others or themselves. As a result, they unwittingly help their enemies more than their (less than perfect) friends.
(3) The weaker the get electorally, the more rigid and demanding they become.
the = they
bttt
I say we figure out a way to get along, allowing for some differences along the way, and come up with a plan to defeat the Democrats.
Yup. A sneak attack. Nod in agreement but be making BIG plans to take back the country. Right now I often shake my head and think . . .”what on earth are we doing????” Some of the silliness needs to go away and lets start focusing on the BIG picture. Get back to our GOP roots . . . build a strong body of conservatives that want to see this country survive in spite of the dems.
Could not agree more.
And you need to face reality.
Makes me so glad that Senator Brownback dropped out of the presidential race before I would’ve made the mistake of voting for him.
I'm only 57, someday I will grow up.
