My big problem is the WHO which has been milking this thing for all its worth. OTOH the CDC has been a paragon of virtue by giving info without peddling panic.

I bought two boxes of masks on Sunday but had to go to 5 stores to get them. But I have read a few stories about masks lately and all of them slam their efficacy. Even the highly touted N95 and N99 masks were deemed insufficient.

Hand sanitizers I usually hate but found a great hand sanitizing foam made by Lysol [in the soap section]. Unlike others, it does not dry out my hands.

IMO, it’s true about the masks not having the efficacy that may have been implied.

I think masks are better at CONTAINING coughs and sneezes from an already infected person, if they would wear them, than to protect an uninfected person from inhaling whatever is floating around.

But we use them the opposite: uninfected people wear them for less-than-stellar protection, while infected people walk around without masks sneezing into air because they think they don’t need masks because it’s too late for them.

And people these days are SOOOOO RUDE and don’t cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze... They don’t realize that even passing on a “normal” flu with a sneeze can KILL people. (Obviously a big pet peeve of mine.)
