Somehow, I just can’t imagine rank and file Democrats coming out in droves to support Spector.

The inner city Democrats will especially abhor Spector, as they should.

Methinks a Spector-as-Democrat candidacy will give the GOP a pretty good shot at getting some new blood into the US Senate.

Since when has an inner city vote, been a well informed vote? They will vote however their local organizer tells them to vote. In this case it will be Specter (if he makes it out of a primary, which may be what you referring to).

Specter makes it out of a primary, he gets the inner city vote, but maybe not in the numbers Obama received, but more than he received as a Republican.
