Oh can it. This guy was never going to filibuster with us on anything that mattered - which are the only things that are worth filibustering.

W should support Sphinctre. As much as Bush is hated by libs, W’s endorsement might hurt the Scottsman.

Good riddance! I can't stand that traitor. The sorry pos has always been a liberal. I hope he gets slaughtered in the next election. Hopefully, we can get a real conservative in there!

Great news. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins should follow.

I expect there will be all kinds of attempts to mask this to be something other than Arlen Specter miscalculated the result of not voting the way his constituents asked on the stimulus. The Democrats and Independents are not the people who funded his candidacy. Some crossed over and voted for him, but they are not responsible for keeping him there from his tenure dating back to Reagan’s time.

Who is the Democrat who will oppose him? can we doante to him? Volunteer?
(and then of course once S.P.E.C.T.R.E. is defeated, go work for Toomey)

Exactly. I dont know why people are so happy about this. I do. There are a bunch of idiots on FR.

Supposedly a part of the deal is that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee will fund Specter’s reelection campaign and promise him no primary opposition.

All I’m worried about is the 60 vote thing, but the rats have shown a propensity to not care, and with Rinos all over, it really doesn’t matter.
Now it will be interesting to see what the Blue Dog rats do. They won’t have a partisan cover and they’ll really have to show their true colors.

Dom Obama now has a filibusterer proof majority.. I wonder if it was blackmail, goodies, thuggery or just a case of sleeper cell activation.
