It was just a question of time. While it was hard to know where it would come from (although MSNBC is always a safe bet), someone was going to make the entire swine flu pandemic a partisan political issue.
MSNBC's Ed Schultz on the April 27 "The ED Show" blamed Republicans on two levels for the swine flu pandemic that some think has been a bit overblown.
"Well, here we go again - Republicans are playing politics with our health," Schultz said. "This kind of stuff just makes my temperature go up. I'm boiling over this - as many as 150 have been killed by this flu in Mexico. Cases are popping up allover the United States."

Is Ed for real? It’s like he’s trying to do a Colbert-style imitation of Rush. Quite badly, I might add...
Liberals don’t get it. You can’t just put someone up there who is big with a loud voice. Didn’t work for Franken/Air America. A Glenn Beck he isn’t.
How many people watch this left wing lunatic?
He serves a purpose. Someone has to make Algore sound smart.
IIRC, a guy shook the RAT prez’ hand and died.
Bush was also resposible for the extinction of Dinosours that created evil fossil fuel in the first place.
Note, you have to allow the macros to make it work so if you are worried about macro viruses, you should probably pass. However, it is from the CDC website so it is probably clean.
Have fun.
Check out the panflu funding local self assessment worksheet (another google hit). It has this beauty:
The proportion of a State's population that is served by a Local Public Health Agency that has identified the local law enforcement personnel who will maintain public order and help implement control measures and has confirmed that law enforcement leadership is supportive of their role.
P.S. Someone should tell this gasbag that we have had an ACTING Secretary of HHS since noon on January 20th.
I grew up in the Fargo, North Dakota area where Ed got his start in radio. I can honestly tell you that he had a bigger audience in that tiny market when he was just a sportscaster than he does now that he is with nationwide PMSNBC.
Stupid on so many levels, where to begin?! :-)
1. Blaming Republicans for the Mexiflu—LOL! In all likelihood there were terrorists—oops! no such thing nowadays! “Man made disaster advocates” playing around with a variety of flu bugs trying to create a biohazardous weapon that they could easily take across the southern borders of the US that caused this mess (one scientist who’s trying to figure out how to stop this commented (not verbatim) that this Mexiflu is a big jumble of other flus and they don’t know how such a thing could happen naturally!), not Republicans. Oh, and yeah, which party has for the most part been the one that wanted to increase border security and shut down the illegals moseying across whenever they felt like it?? Oh, yeah, that would be..THE REPUBLICANS. D’oh.
2. Calling Susan Collins a “Republican”-—bwahahahahahahaha!! [wipes tears from eyes]
3. Blaming Karl Rove for this mess. Everyone KNOWS Karl Rove is in charge of the WEATHER MACHINE/HAARP!!! D’uh. Stupido to blamo himo foro theo Mexico fluo!!
Chris Matthews has already compared Bush’s Katrina response to O’s flu response. Of course, he trashed Bush.
Or closed boarders!
I saw Santorum on the boob tube last night complimenting the current administration for not over reacting and refusing to close the boarders.
Oh well, scratch another one off the list
this fool Schultz almost makes Alfranken look smart by comparison...
Eddie Boy is just worried that the most likely pigs to succumb to the swine flu are Barbara McKulsky and Hillary Clinton because of genetic similarities to our cousins the pigs.
“on top of, crispness” of the flu.
Whose fault is this:
“Schumer video bragging about cutting pandemic fund surfaces.”
Apparently we’re seeing spread of bedbugs thanks to our illegals. Shows what they can do.
I’m glad he’s not overreacting (because I think it’s again, more hype and the latest craze), but the border part wouldn’t be it. I’d be fine if O closed up the borders for this.
Mikulski is not a pig; she is a turkey. She is a Butterball.
