I will repeat this whenever the topic of Obama’s eligibility comes up. The answer lies with the individual states. Each state has its own election laws which dictate the nitty-gritty of qualifying for a place on the ballot. There is no reason why a dozen or so states could not enact prior to the next presidential election a requirement that any candidate for President of the United States submit appropriate documentation by some date certain establishing that he or she is legal age and a natural born citizen. If Obama won’t or can’t submit what is required, he won’t be on the ballot in the states that require documentation, which would greatly diminish his re-election chances, and would move the issue to the front burner as the Democrats start going to ridiculous extremes to justify continuing to stonewall on an absurdly simple issue.

I already wrote my state representative last month suggesting this be made into law. Require documentation before the secretary of elections can have a name placed on the ballot. In Florida, all that is currently required is an affidavit that one qualifies. If just Florida and Texas made documentation a requirement that would equate to 61 electoral votes. Throw in a few more states and it would be near impossible to get elected without proof of birth. Freepers should get on board and contact their state legislators.
