It was utisde people that started this. Sadly, the poor kids got killed. Some of them walkig across that area.

Trust me, I believe in the Natl Guard, etc... Outside agitators killed out kids, no one else.

I feel horrid for both sides.

From the Cleveland PD

I am a 40 year old white male who lives in Kent. I am not one of the hippy wannabes. I am gun owning, Republican voting, business owner right winger.

And I can say with absolute certainty that the cops really give the kids a hard time down here. I am not saying what the kids did was right.

Mind you - I am not anti-police, but Kent cops....looking to make trouble when there is none.

But in Kent, if the cops come to a party with riot gear there will be a riot... even if the cops have to start it.

“I feel horrid for both sides.”

I agree. In every way this was handled poorly. From the students throwing rocks at armed soldiers, to the National Guard officers who didn’t control their troops better. It is on thing to fire a gun at someone who is an immediate threat to your life, and another to fire at college kids who are throwing rocks. Had universities throughout the country had a policy of kicking students out who used violence none of this would have happened. As it was, students were under the impression they could do whatever they wanted without fear of punishment.
