Will tea parties 'throw bums out' in 2010? [no more RINOs] [85% of Americans agree with Tea Parties]

Polls show bailout madness serious threat to GOP incumbents.

BY DREW ZAHN

Crowds have long protested Congress with rally cries of "Throw the bums out," and if recent polls tabulating tea party furor over government spending translate to votes in 2010, angry Americans may make good on their mantra.

Polls released by Rasmussen Reports this week demonstrate that – at least within the Republican Party – sitting incumbents who vote for increased government, taxes and federal bailouts risk voter backlash in the next election.

Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., for example, is one of only three Republicans in Congress to vote for President Obama's $787 billion stimulus plan. According to a Rasmussen poll released this morning, the 28-year senator now trails his 2004 GOP primary rival Pat Toomey in the polls by 21 points: 51 percent of Pennsylvania Republicans say they'd vote for Toomey in a 2010 primary, while just 30 percent would support Specter.

A separate Rasmussen poll demonstrated that 58 percent of Specter's Republican constituents cited his support of the stimulus package as reason for their waning support.

According to a Rasmussen poll earlier this week, 60 percent of Americans agree that the government has too much power and too much money. Among Republicans, 88 percent agree, while 62 percent of unaffiliated respondents and 35 percent of Democrats agree.

When factoring in the divide between Mainstream and Political Class respondents, however, Rasmussen discovered that a whopping 85 percent of Mainstream Americans – regardless of political party affiliation – agree with the common tea party protest that the government has too much power and too much money.

At the Tea Party I went I made a sign that said NO NEW TAXES throw the Bums out in 2010-2012. I will not vote for anyone who is a RINO.

Then why did so many vote in a socialist?

All I read on another thread the other day was “oh I’ll vote for McCain (a proven loss) over that bum Simcox (apparently a bad rep for something or other” They want a RINO at least in AZ.

One doesn’t need to read the signs to tell that this isn’t a leftist/anarchist/socialist demonstration. The U.S. flags are waving from polls, rather than being trampled underfoot — and they aren’t ablaze.

Then why did so many vote in a socialist?

"Hope" and "change" had a nice ring to them, and frankly, the second most likely alternative wasn't much better.

Then why did so many vote in a socialist?

Many reasons, but in any event, the preponderance of them are now experiencing Buyers Remorse. (Hey, I suffered BR about six months after voting for that dud, Jimmy Carter - - the last time I ever voted RAT).

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but it seems 40% of the populace did’nt vote leaving approx 32% for HO and 27% for Gov Palin with McCain coming in at about 1%.And more than likely 15% of the folks who voted for HO now regret it.If I read right the 52% or so that HO got was based on 100% of the people that voted.Just seems I read that somewhere.

First, too many O bow ma voters have no idea what Socialism means, as shown by the Sean Hannity 'man on the street Thursday' interviews ... O bow ma voters are largely uninformed and ignorant.

Second, too many voted for an affirmative action hire, not realizing he is a Marxist/Socialist/commie who lies as easily as he breathes. That Soros now has him jumping on the end of a phots release/CIA memos release string is proof enough that this POIE is not up to the job to which he was hired and for which even the subpreme court chose to ignore the Constitution to install him in the White HOuse.

Here are the goals the GOP should adopt:
1. Take back the MSM by actively soliciting people to get jobs in the MSM.
2. Throw out ALL RINOs in 2010.
3. Find the best young conservatives in the country and get them elected.
4. Adopt a solid, unwavering platform and stick to it!.

Every socialist/communist vote counted three times.

I no longer have any confidence in our countries voting system unless they bring in purple ink for the finger.

There will probably be a shift toward Republicans, but not enough. The unfortunate truth is that neither party has been good for America. (Disclaimer: I am a conservative Republican.) It is left to we, the people, to make the changes our country needs in order to continue its very existence. Are you ready for a long, difficult battle? Sorry, these will not work. At least by themselves. They are a (small) part of the solution. But the future of our country has to be codified. See http://pushbackuntil.com and prepare yourself for a 5-10 year battle for our country.
