I had the unfortunate occasion to be in the end apartment when a gun fight, many rounds fired, broke out right outside my window. The police had cornered a car thief and he decided to shoot it out with the police. The rounds went through the paper thin walls. The floor was the safest bet.
When you are in an apartment and decide to shoot, you best know what is behind the curtain, because the walls will likely not stop the round from going into the next apartment -- Up, down or sideways.
If someone is trying to do you harm, be careful when you pull the trigger. You will be responsible for the consequences of hitting innocent people.
Good shooting Snigg ...
“If someone is trying to do you harm, be careful when you pull the trigger”
What precautions do you suggest, guess you could evaluate all possibilities and draw an X for the intruder to stand on ... if he is cooperative. On the other hand #1 buck fired into the chest would greatly reduce the chance of collateral damage.
Tarpon, good point.
I often worry about over-penetration of ammunition if I ever have to defend myself in the apartments I live in.
Fellow Freepers, don’t they have special ammo for this type situation?
Thanks.
