Obama’s DNI reminds Obama that “enhanced interrogation” worked

Barack Obama’s top man in the intelligence community sent the President a memo defending the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, which the White House edited before releasing to the press de-emphasizing that defense. Dennis Blair, the Director of National Intelligence, pointed out that most of what we know about al-Qaeda came from using those techniques on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Abu Zubaydah, countering leaks last week from the Obama administration that claimed the methods produced no data...
In other words, the Obama administration covered up the fact that even their own DNI acknowledges that the interrogations produced actionable and critical information. When Dick Cheney demanded the release of the rest of the memos relating that information, he wasn’t just going on a fishing expedition. Cheney filed a request to declassify those memos in March, and the CIA has yet to decide on his request, but we can no longer doubt that records exist showing the success of those interrogations.,

UPDATE: One more point. In the Post's account those who argued against releasing details about interrogation techniques were no more high-minded than the other side. Their main argument seems to have been that releasing the information "could spark a national security debate with conservatives that could undermine Obama's broader agenda."
In other words, the debate over which Obama presided was all about what would help Obama. The debaters obviously knew their audience.

Yes, this is the talking point released by the Post. The Post article was an attempt to cast aspersions on those conservatives who would have the temerity to use this issue to undermine Obama's broader agenda.
However, it fails on two points. As you point out, the talking point shows a lack of consideration of national security within the debate to release the memos. Secondly, is obscures the real reason to release the papers, which was to change the debate FROM Obama's broader agenda! [Actually, it probably doesn't "fail" on this point.]

I have argued with several libs on another site who complain that waterboarding is torture and poor terrorists! I believe more than ever than liberalism is indeed a mental illness. I just don’t understand the way they think. More worried about the terrorists than innocent Americans. Scary.
Obama and his Socialist Congress are trying to “blame” the Bush Admin for the fact that we have had no terrorist attacks in the US since 9/11/01. Obama and his fellow Socialists have profound brain defects.
The question we should all be asking is this: What is the Obama Admin doing now to prevent a terrorist attack — another 9/11 or worse here in the US? So far all of Obama’s actions have been geared to helping the terrorists -— releasing those held at Gitmo, announcing that we will pull all troops out of Iraq, and appeasing Iran, the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world -— to give a few examples.
Who will Obama blame when the inevitable “new” 9/11 happens?
Since it has been all over the cable stations for the past few days, I think it is important to get the truth out. Not that liberals are interested in the truth.

The question is: what is torture? Morrisey states that conservatives should stop pretending that waterboarding and the other things aren’t torture. Okay, if putting a caterpillar on someones shoulder and telling them it’s a dangerous insect is torture, then I’m down with torture. And let me tell you when the lives of thousands of Americans are at stake, there’s very little I would shrink from doing to these pieces of excrement.

Why did his Kenyan Grandmother swear she SAW him born in KENYA? Why was ZERO’S White Grandmother kept Incommunicado in a Closet till her “DEATH?” Why are there absolutely NO RECORDS of ZERO HUSSEIN at ALL? No one would tolerate this of any other Official or Candidate? Why did the Republicans and specifically Juan Carlos McPAIN go out of his way to assist ZERO HUSSEIN in keeping his entire past SECRET? Why do neither ZERO nor his Wifey still have current Law Licenses and why did they gie the Licenses up OR were they forced to turn their Licenses in rather than face more severe punishments? OH WELL! It appears those who could force these questions to be answered so far have done Nothing! (o_O)!!
