Here’s hoping that it survives the inevitable infusion of funds to Specter’s campaign by the RNSC and the slew of endorsements from Mike Steele and on down the line of “official” Republicans.

That is what I am afraid of. Pat Toomey had the chance to win the nomination the last time he ran against Specter. The GOP (including Dubya himself ) supported the RINO, Specter. That in itself told me that the GOP had lost its bearing. I was not surprised when the GOP lost the elections.

If the GOP does it again (i.e., cast its lot on Specter over Toomey), I'll know for sure that we don't have a main party that supports conservatives.
