The photos are being released in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union in 2004.

Seems like we should be able to use the freedom of information act to somehow verify our president’s identity and where he is originally from! These people use our laws only to advance their own agenda.

I have another theory about why Obama is releasing these photos now. Violence and bombings in Iraq have been on the increase ever since Obama took office and announced his timetable for withdrawal and went on an ‘Apology Tour’ around the Muslim world. Just yesterday, a double bombing killed over 75 people. Iraq is going to go to hell again just as we all suspected.
By releasing these photos before the media is compelled to cover the escalating violence, Obama and the democrats can claim that it is all President Bush’s fault that Obama snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I hope you are right. Another reason they are releasing these photos is because the alledged ‘torture memos’about Gitmo detainees were not a big deal to the vast majority of the American people so it was time to bring out the Abu Graib photos again.It really is a detestable cynical political ploy that will no doubt get our soldiers killed.
